It feels as though Brexit has been a hot business topic for some time now, but the deadline is
Although there is a possibility of a so called "hard Brexit", for now nobody really knows what will
happen come March 2019. We are working to the best of our ability to ensure our customer’s
requirements continue to be met.
Our hope is this letter can address a few of the most common questions we are being asked.
Firstly, we are in open discussions with all our manufacturers whilst the Brexit plan unfolds;
looking at possible contingency plans together, should we be hit with tariffs and extended lead
times due to changes with transport at ports (we have already re-routed our sea freight
deliveries away from Felixstowe).
Secondly, we do not import raw materials therefore there will be no direct risks in this area.
And finally, we would like to confirm that only a small percentage of our products are likely to
be affected. However we will be raising our stock levels where appropriate to ensure a smooth
supply remains in place.
If any of our customers are planning key trading activities likely to coincide with Brexit or in the
3 months following, please advise details in advance so we can work to support you.
